Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Regiment and the 1st Battalion, 12th Regiment during Operation Double Eagle in Vietnam. The soldiers were attacked by the Viet Cong from a nearby village, but were protected by naval gunfire and mortar support. The soldiers captured 12 Viet Cong fighters attempting to escape, one of whom was carrying a fallen comrade.
