This strap-leaf variety is good for early spring and fall use; top red or purple above ground, flesh fine-grained, mild flavor. Pkt., 5 cts.; oz., 10 cts.; \ lb., 30 cts.; lb., $ SnO'wball. A fine-looking, pure white variety which matures in from six to seven weeks. The bulbs have a smooth white skin, are nearly round, and may be used while small. The tops are small and roots which grow partly above the ground are of medium size, pure white flesh, and skin, finegrained and sweet. It produces a globe-shaped root, with smooth skin and light-yellow flesh, which is firm and sweet. The seed should be sown before the end of July and they may be stored in cellar same as turnips. Drear's Improved Purple=Top. (See cut.) This special strain is remarkable for uniform shape and fine quality. It grows to a large size; skin is smooth, flesh yellow and fine- grained. The flavor good, being very sweet. Pk
