, Moldova, Transnistria, Tiraspol - Museum of the Schnapsfabrik Kvint. Kvint was the Cognac brand of the Soviet Union. The bottle with the blue-white-red label was on the Mir space station and was later handed over by the astronauts as a souvenir of the liquor factory. How many bottles were not returned is not known. The tradition of the brand dates back to 1897. Transnistria is a repulsive Moldovan part-republic under Russian influence east of the river Dnister. The region split in 1990 from Moldova and is and is not recognized by any other country. Even the Russian-dependent entity is known as the Transdnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Pridnestrovkaja Moldavskaja Respublika / PMR). Tiraspol is the capital.
