5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (March 17, 2013) Seaman Xavier Brown waves the Romeo flag on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) during an replenishment-at-sea with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Laramie (T-AO 203). Peleliu is the flagship for the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group and is deployed with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU) in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
