2d Cavalry Regiment (2CR) Deputy Public Affairs Officer Army 1st. Lt. Ellen C. Brabo, kneeling, and Army Sgt. The original memorial, built in honor of the Dragoons who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, was damaged during a storm in June 2017. The fundraising efforts of the 2CR Association enabled the regiment to rebuild the memorial.
