Water provides an excellent place to play. Karnataka, India: THESE INCREDIBLE photos show a tiger bounding in and out of the water, playing and cooling down, while the photographer was only 12 feet away. One image shows a tiger leaping out of the water as it rushes for its friend in a playful swim. The Bengal tiger can reach up to 13 feet in length and weigh around 660 pounds. They have over 100 black stripes on their reddish-brown coats. These images were captured by photographer Antarjit Singh (29) in Bandipur Tier Reserve, Karnataka in India, using a Nikon Z6 II camera. ?I was in a morning safari in Bandipur Tiger Reserve when my naturalist got a call from his fellow naturalists, and he informed us about this sighting of a female tiger with its two-sub adult male cubs,? said Antarjit. ?We wasted no time and rushed to the spot. On reaching there I spotted the two male subadults inside thick bushes. ?To our delight, they both came out in open on the safari track and walked for new seconds head on and then they headed for a water hole where they mock charged at each other which give us an opportunity to make some action shots in the water. ?Overall, it is amongst the best tiger sightings that I have had in the ?Shots like these make people appreciate the beauty of our natural world and also make them aware of the species and threats they are facing. ?It also inspires people to visit forests to see these beautiful animals in their natural habitat and promotes wildlife tourism. I believe wildlife tourism and conservation go hand in hand. ?To see such a majestic animal up close from the safety of my safari vehicle was spine-chilling. The adrenaline was in full swing. I had goosebumps all over. ?I often feel short of words to express my feelings when I see tigers in their natural habitat, such is the aura of this magnificent species. ?It was very satisfying to be able to capture such action-packed shots.
