Quayside Norwich on the River Wensum.

During the medieval period, Quayside was used by shell-fishermen to unload their boats, and thick deposits of shells have been noted at nearby sites. Trial excavations on the south bank of the River Wensum at Quayside were undertaken in 1993, and several interesting archaeological features were noted. The blue Merchants House, one of Norwich's most photographed properties that dates back years and is steeped in history, can also be seen in this photograph and our alluring Norwich Cathedral spire. Both images were taken during the last minutes of daytime, the Golden Hour-ish.
