During a clearing operation in Vietnam, a UH-34 helicopter brings in troops from the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines, and 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, to an off-shore island from Chu Lai. The mission aims to rid the island of Viet Cong presence. The hilly terrain is covered in cacti, creating a challenging landing zone. Taken on May 30, 1965, by Sgt. Choate.
