A Swiss sabre, Switzerland, circa 1650 Long blade fullered at the back on both sides with double-edged point. The base with remnants of decorative etching on the obverse. Iron, engraved knuckle-bow hilt with thumb ring and ornamentally embossed guard plate. Original wooden grip with two Turk's heads and sculpted lion head pommel. Sabre original in all parts, the blade somewhat corroded in places, the edges minimally pitted at the tip. Length 100 cm.
