Be-sides these features, the specimen contained pus-corpuscles, connective-tissue shreds, mucus-threads, and cuboidal and columnar epithelia fromthe prostate gland and its ducts, showing a prostatitis. In an active hemorrhage of this kind, white blood-corpuscles or leuco-cytes are invariably present. These cannot be differentiated from pus-corpuscles, and, as long as they are seen in small numbers only, the pres-ence of the latter must not be diagnosed. As soon as these corpusc
