Competitor near the 79km checkpoint at Roque Nublo in the gruelling 2015 North Face Transgrancanaria ultra trail race. The race is one of the the North Face Ultra Trail World Tour series races and attracts elite ultra runners from all over the world. The main race is 125km, crossing the island from north to south with 8,500m elevation in total. Races of 85km and 44km are also run concurrently The 2015 winner (male) was Gediminas Grinius from Lithuania in a course record time: 14hrs:39:35. First woman: Nuria Picas from Spain: 16hrs:53:27 (fourteenth overall)
