The low rocky acropolis, together with two distinct linesof wall, can still be recognised; but they are not older tlianthe rebuilding under Philip and Alexander, and consequentlyof no crreat interest. But all around is the scene of thattremendous battle which decided for ever the predominanceof Europe over Asia.
