If by accident, however, the saccontaining the deposit has been broken ortorn, the contents are still gathered into thebill, and very careful search made in allparts of the nest for the least bit ofmatter that would cause harm. By theWaxeye these droppings are got rid of ata few yards from the nest, and quite atrandom.
