Blood pres-sure 100 Physical examination negative. Treat-ment: Injections 15 m. of polyglandular solution dailyfor one week, then three times weekly for four distinct increase in strength and sense of buoy-ancy and well-being after the first three injections. Influence of Internal Secretion on MentalProcesses. In the explanation of many mental conditions we areassisted very little by a study of the anatomy of the brain,but as our researches with the glands of internal secre-tion proceed, we are able to explain quite a large numberof psychoses and deviations from the normal mentality,by the influence that the internal secretions have upon thedevelopment, growth and stabiHty of the brain and relation between the glands of internal secretion andmental conditions is twofold. It may be either the causeor effect. In considering the influence of the internal secretionon mental processes it is again necessary to consider twogroups of symptom complexes, depending upon diamet-rically opposite states of function of the glands, namely,hypersecretion or overactivity and hyposecretion or
