The facts, as he knows them, mayseem to controvert the theory of his text-books,and he needs furnished with definite andauthoritative statements upon just this have taken pains therefore, to collect theneeded testimony from several of the mosteminent physicians in the country, and presentit herewith, in the hope that it may help tosettle any doubt arising in the mind of eitherpupil or teacher. A lesson may well be devoted to this onesubject, using the quotations given below to sup-plement the material found in the suggest that it be made the text for a re-view lesson upon the subject of tobacco.
