United States Postal Service employee Deborah Boetcher and Army Sgt. Gilbert Valdez sort and package outgoing absentee ballots at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. “Over 400 military absentee ballots are coming through our location and 100 are going out lately, but as the election nears the trend will reverse where there’s more going out than coming in,” said Valdez of the 147th Postal Company from Baumhaulder, Germany. The absentee ballots receive top priority. During the last two weeks leading up to the election, the absentee ballots will go via express mail at no charge to the troops.
