Lord Dacre's tomb at Saxton All Saint's Churchyard next to sculpture memorial to unknow soldiers remains interred 1996


The large tomb of Lord Dacre (Ralph Dacre of Gilsland), a Lancastrian leader killed at the Battle of Towton by an archer. Next to it is a memorial sculpture (right) for the interred remains of 24 unknown soldiers who were also killed at the battle and were found at Towton Hall in 1996.
