Spring corn, potatoes, mangel and parchedgrass lands cry out for rain. Pigs still command a good price, and are veryecarce. Farmers are dissatisfied with the price of milkJune 17. J. S. DERBYSHIRE—WHEAT THE BEST CROP OF THESEASON—OATS A FAILURE This district is badly in need of rain. Tulesa-we get some soon the agricultural prospect willnot be very promising. The hay crop will only be poor. Wheat, Ithink, will be the crop of the season. Oats inmany places are a failure, especially on newlyploughed land. Turnips are coming up patchy. Mangels arenot grown much round here. Good horses are very scarce and dear. Milkeows are a little easier to buy. Sheep are a veryfair trade, and pigs are both scarce and days rain would make a wonderful improve-ment. June 15. - C B. STAFFS (SOUTH) - DIFFICUL
