'Byron', c1800, (1911). George Gordon Byron (1788-1824) commonly known as Lord Byron, was an English poet and a leading figure in the Romantic movement. Richard Westall RA (1765 -1836) was an English painter and illustrator of portraits, historical and literary events, best known for his portraits of Lord Byron who was a pin up of his day.
