Near Ruan Lanihorne, near the tidal limit of rhe Fal estuary. the estuary spreads into a wide area of mudflats at low tide, or seawater at high tide. The area is rich in bird life, feeding on the mudflats when the tide is out, or gathered in the surrounding saltmarsh when the tide is high. This view is from the old quay at Ruan Lanihorne, which has road access and is easily accessible for bird watching or just admiring the view.
