Gravestones of some of the 6,012 American buried at the Oise- Aisne American Cemetery in Seringes et Nesles, France. The cemetery was the site of a ceremony marking the participation of the 42nd Division in the campaign 100 years ago. The division is now an element of the New York National Soldiers from the 42nd Infantry Division were in France from July 24-29 to take part in events commemorating the division's role-- and the role of the Army-- in World War I.
