Pvt. C. E. Painter from the Signal Corps captured this photograph on May 31, 1918. The image shows a bridge near the frontlines which was intentionally destroyed by the French to impede German invasion. This particular bridge is located in Flirey, France. The photograph was reviewed and approved by the A. E. F. Censor on June 24, 1918. Correction: Wrecked, not RECO.
