The Tallulah River is approximately 48 miles long with its headwaters in North Carolina and flowing through northern Georgia until it joins the Chattoga River to form the Tugaloo. There is a string of four man-made lakes in Georgia; Lake Burton, Lake Seed, Lake Rabun, and Lake Tallulah Falls. It also runs through what is known as the Tallulah Gorge which has numerous waterfalls.
