Among the rubbish were five human scuUs, and a corresponding quantity of other bones, allof which had been disturbed before. At the same time and place was discovered a very curious stylus, or bodkin, of hardyellow stone. Within the walls was an ordinary flagged floor: and near the South end lay the remains of a large flatstone, which the workmen inad\erteutly broke into many pieces before they discovered that the lower surface containedan inscription.
