Habitat.—The Coromandel coast as far south as the river Kistna, the estuaries of the Ganges, Cachar, and Assam, Punjab, N. W. Provinces, and Sind, British and upper Burma: attaining to 5 inches in length. It is dried in places in India, whilst in Burma it is frequently made into Ngapee. 4.
