Cuba: Camilo Cienfuegos (6 February 1932 - 28 October 1959) after his victory at Yaguajay, c. January 1959. Camilo Cienfuegos Gorriarán was a Cuban revolutionary born in Lawton, Havana. Raised in an anarchist family that had left Spain before the Spanish Civil War, he became a key figure of the Cuban Revolution, along with Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Juan Almeida Bosque and Raúl Castro; he was considered second only to Fidel Castro among the revolutionary leadership. While flying back from Camagüey, his plane disappeared over the Straits of Florida and he was presumed dead.
