Common Camas (Camassia quamash)

Common Camas (Camassia quamash) also known as Early Camas or Blue Camas is a lily native to the pacific northwest of North America. It was a traditional food crop of aboriginal peoples throughout it's range and was widely traded. It occurs in a variety of habitat types but is perhaps most know for its affinity with Oregon White Oak (aka Garry Oak) meadows and prairies, which are of extreme conservation concern.
