He was at firstassociated in practice with Judge Osborn in Ashland, but in February, 1883, removedto Chicago, and associated himself with Leonard Swett. He married a daughter ofA. A. Albert F. Barker, of Hanson, is a representative the present year. Clayton D. Smith was born in Chester in 1857, and graduated at Amherst Collegein 1883. He is settled in Chester and is this year a representative. Ernest W. Roberts was born in East Madison, Me., November 22, 1858, and waseducated at the public schools and at the Highland Military Academy. He studiedlaw at the Boston University Law School, and was admitted to the Suffolk bar inJune, 1881. He is practicing in Boston, with his residence in Chelsea, where he wasa member of the Common Council in 1887-88, and he is this year a representative. John S. Richardson was born in Baldwin, Me., August 25, 1855, and was educatedat the Phillips Exeter Academy. He graduated at the Harvard Law School in 1884,and was admitted to the Suffolk bar March 23,
