The Raising of Lazarus, glass in Lavenham Church. The figure of Lazarus is copied from Sebastiano del Piombo's painting in the National Gallery.

The Raising of Lazarus, stained glass in Lavenham Church. The figure of Lazarus is copied from Sebastiano del Piombo's Renaissance painting now in the National Gallery. It is thought that the figure of Lazarus was reworked by Michelangelo, a close collaborator with Sebastiano at the time when the work was painted. This is an interesting example of a Renaissance work reinterpreted by a Victorian artist.
