Effect of release of 24000 Cusecs water from Sembarambakkam Lake in Chennai, India
Chennai in south India was badly hit by Heavy Rain in the last 3 to 4 days. Water was seen every where and around 2500 to 3000 people were Marooned in the flooded areas. As Sembarambakkam lake in Chennai reached its full capacity, 24000 Cusecs (Cubic Feet per Second) of water was released to Adayar river. When such a huge amount of water was released, the near by areas were affected and here is a scene near by the Adayar river.
