Marine reconnaissance team members, known as "Leathernecks," rush into a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter to escape enemy pursuit during a military operation in Vietnam on March 29, 1967. The helicopter's .50 caliber gun provides cover and protection for the team. Marine Aircraft Group 16 deployed helicopters to assist the endangered team.
