Tomra Recycling Centre (TRC) outside a Tesco store, in Perivale, West London, UK. These slots are for recycling paper, card and cartons. The recycling machines at this centre are automatic and use high technology to sort through recyclable materials. The machines automatically recognise when they are full and the shredded material is taken away. Tomra Systems ASA is a Norwegian company that produces these recycling machines. The first Tesco Tomra Recycling Centre opened in 2004. Tesco customers are rewarded with one loyalty point for every four items recycled.
