RAEDLEIN BASKET CO. 713 Milwaukee Avenue, Phone, Monroe 4977. CHICAGO, ILL. Buffalo. STOCK PLENTIFUL; BUSINESS FAIR. Trade is only fair, with the excep- tion of funeral work, which has been brisk, due to the fact that the weather recently has not been conducive to health. Sunshine, appearing through the greenhouse glass, would be much appreciated just now, as we are living in a very snowy atmosphere. The St. Patrick's day demand was active, the sale of green carnations exceeding all expectations, a large parade of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick no doubt stimulating the sale. As this parade is to be an annual affair, the trade will be better prepared next year. Had the birth of the "Patron Saint" been delayed until April, the florists could take care of the observance of the day much better, but of course this can- not be changed now. There is a plen- tiful supply of stock, especially roses, tulips, .ionquils, daffodils and carna- tions. American Beauties are becom- ing more plentiful and lily of the val- ley, orchids and violets are in good supply. Handsome plants in artistic- ally trimmed containers are to be seen in all of the stores, and they bring joy to the heart of the passer-by, who ap- preciates the contrast between them and his snow-covered clothing.
