The Province of Alberta, Legislative Assembly Building, is located in Edmonton, Alberta on a site that was once part of the frontier fort (Fort Edmonton) that resulted in the settlement of the Canadian west. The Assembly is unicameral and has met here since the late nineteenth century. This image shows a formal portrait of King George IV of the United Kingdom. It is located in a second floor artist is Victor Albert Long, 1866-1938, it was painted in 1910 in honor of the coronation of George IV.
