HARDY ORANGE. spring with wonderful profusion. The blossoms are large, pure white, and impart the same exquisite fra- grance as other Oranges. In habit the tree is dwarf, upright, and with abundant, rich, dark green, three- lobed foliage, which remains upon the tree until after frost, and then falls. So valuable as to well merit cultivation for its beauty alone, or for its delightfully fragrant blossoms, which are produced in greater or less numbers during almost the entire spring,-summer and autumn. Its advantages as a hedge plant are its naturally dense habit of growth and the abundance of ! its sharp thorns. It is naturally a dwarf tree, and will L need but little trimming to keep it within bounds. It [ has safely withstood a temperature of 180 below zero entirely r^TJUNEBERRY. Improved Dwarf Juneberry. A good substitute for the large or swamp huckleberry or whortleberry, which it resembles in appearance and quality. The fruit is borne in clusters, and is reddish purpie in color, chang- ing to a bluish black. In flavor it is a mild, rich sub- acid ; excellent as a dessert food or canned. The . bushes are extremely hardy, enduring the cold of the far north and the heat of summer without injury. When ; this fruit becomes better known to the public it will be j very popular. They are much larger and better flavored than the wild Juneberries. I. JUNEBERRY. IMPROVED CHERRY. Improved Dwarf Rocky Mountain Cherry. This is a shrub, which originally grew wild in the mountains. The fruit has been greatly improved by cultivation, and it is claimed to be, when fully ripe, the best fruit of its season. The fruit is jet black when ripe, and in size averages somewhat larger than the English Morello. Its flavor is similar
