The subject of the plaque is often identified as "Calling the Apostles", and it is assumed that two apostles depicted are Peter and Andrew. Peter apostle is closest to Christ. However the fact that Christ seems to be on the water rather than on the earth, together with inscription VBI D [OMI] N [V] SAPARVITDSC [V] P [V] LIS [I] NMAR [I] (Weheris Christ appears to the disciples of the sea) suggests the scene of "Christ Walking on the Water".
