Some of these appearto be distinctly pathogenic, while the majority are merely saprophytic. Thesemolds are found in the true sputum only in cases associated with destructiveprocesses of the lungs. There are at present many reports of cases showing thatsome of them at least may be distinctiy answerable for primary infections.
