Borrego Springs, CA. March 23, 2021. A sculpture of a dinosaur by Mexican artist Ricardo Breceda captured during a stormy spring afternoon.
Ricardo Breceda's best-known work arose when he crossed paths with Dennis Avery, heir to the Avery Dennison Corp. label makers. Avery owned Galleta Meadows Estates in Borrego Springs, and envisioned turning his land into a giant free-standing art gallery. Commissioned by Avery, Breceda created over 130 pieces scattered across Borrego Springs' desert landscape.
