Sowerby Bridge wharf, Calderdale, West Yorkshire, UK, is the terminal basin of the Calder & Hebble Navigation, and its interchange with the Rochdale Canal. It is one of the outstanding canal basins in the country, whose 200 year-old buildings were restored to good condition and active use in the early years of this century, after seven years’ work by British Waterways (predecessor to Canal & River Trust) and the whole site is listed Grade : Windmill Images/Alamy Live News
