Sun rise casts the perfectly formed triangular shadow of central Sri Lanka’s Sri Pada or Adam’s Peak on to the surrounding countryside. During the December to May pilgrimage season thousands make the 7km climb to the summit which has been a focus for pilgrimage for over a thousand years.
