After the independence of Indonesia, this building had changed function as the office of the secretariat of the election, and later as the Office of Sanitation and Gardening. Today, more than a century old historical buildings are used as firefighters office, but the condition of the main building appears to be poorly maintained, making it the home of millions of bats.
