Punta Tombo is a 3 km long, 600 mtr wide peninsula into the Atlantic Ocean, Argentina, where there is an important colony of Magellanic Penguins. Between September and April, a large number come to this site to incubate their eggs and prepare their offspring for migration. The Punta Tombo Provincial Reserve has been protected since 1979 and is one of the main tourist attractions in Chubut.
