Our mixture is superb and contains many valuable and expensive varieties. 15c. each, 2 for 25c., 4 for 50c., 9 for $, 12 for $ PHRYNIUM V^RIEGATUMI. Variegated Leaved Canna. This is without doubt the grandest orname'^tal foliage plant in cultivation; its habit of growth is precisely like the Canna; it grows from a bulb or tuber, and may be winterpd dry, like a gladiolus, or kept growing the year round as a pot plant. The Canna-like shoots grow from 18 inches to 23^ feet high, and the leaver, which are spreading and oialong in shape, are from 6 to 10 inches long and from 2 to 5 inches broad; they are a bright green, beautifully variegated with pure white, the variegations being extremely diversified. It is almost im- possible to find two leaves exactly alike; in sqme leaves the whole area is pure white, while in others only half and in some one-third, and in others again only a few faint stripes.
