Ther Welsh Monk Bishop Samson traveled to Brittany in the 6th c. and was appointed Bishop. He established many churches. The Chapel in Landunvez has two granite crosses, said to have been carved from prehistoric monoliths, and a granite lined well that is said to have curative powers. A well used walking/hiking path runs for kilometers along the roughand boulder strewn oceanfront.
