A dagger of Lowland Scottish type,circa 1620 Tapering blade of hollow-diamond section struck with a minuscule mark on both sides of the ricasso. Facetted wooden grip(possibly ivy root)carved at the base with a pair of shoulders each inset with a small brass rosette,grip fitted with brass convex basal washer and brass rosette pommel cap. Small filled repairs about the shoulder of the hilt. Length 30 cm. Cf.
