The Aisawan Dhipaya Asana Pavilion at the Bang Pa-In Palace (The Summer Palace)

Bang Pa-In Palace is a mixture of European and Chinese-style palace buildings. There has been a palace on the site since the 17th century. However this fell into disuse and by the early 1800s it was a neglected ruin. The present day palace dates from the reign of King Chulalongkorn and most of the buildings were constructed between 1872 and 1889. The palace is still used by the present king and queen as an occasional residence and for official banquets and receptions. The Pavilion was built in 1876.
