Nanofibres are artificially produced polymer filaments that measure only a few nanometres (billionths of a metre) in diameter, and several microns (thousandths of metres) in length. They are often used in composite materials with integrated UV protection or antistatic properties, such as clothing. Magnification: x8300 when printed 10 centimetres wide.
