Women dressed in traditional costumes dance as they take part in the festival. The 61th edition of the Verdiales Flamenco Dance contest, an important cultural and music festival, is celebrated annually on Fools Saints Day. Musicians from different musical groups known as "pandas" compete in a contest which includes singing and dancing in a flamenco style called "Verdiales". The musicians use traditional Andalusian instruments and costumes.
