A gold-inlaid kulah khud and bazu band (forearm guard), Persian, 19th century. Skull forged in one piece with diamond shaped floral chiselled, gold-inlaid decoration, a quadrangular spike which unscrews, an adjustable nasal, and two side-mounted plume sockets. An engraved decorative inscription runs along the rim and hanging mail curtains of iron rings joined by bending (minimal defects). Height ca. 63 cm.
