Some of the local growers, thinking of the shortage in flowers later, put their entire crop of peonies in cold storage, to be brought out at some future date when peonies will be conspicuous by their absence. Bedding plant sales have decreased considerably, many growers being nearly sold out, and the present supply is hardly as good as that earlier in the season. Various Notes. Samuel Feast & Sons had a fine dis- play of peonies at their store on North Charles street for Memorial day.
